Who am i?

Hello, I’m Connor

A husband, dad, lifelong New Yorker, and an avid outdoors man that has a deep appreciation for nature and enjoys a good hike (hence, this website!). I’ve been a Financial Advisor for over 20 years, and have had the opportunity to work all over the financial industry. I have my Series 65-Uniform Investment Advisory, along with my New York Life and Health Licenses. I graduated with a B.S. in Finance from Quinnipiac University. Not only that, but I also obtained a ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) designation.

Progress Solutions was born from a deep desire to help the people that really needed the help. I wanted to bring health and wellness to the financial portion of people’s lives. Over the past 20 years of my career, I noticed a real problem with the lack of financial health across the spectrum of clients. People don’t know how to properly budget, have large amounts of debt, and are living paycheck to pay check. I decided to become a Financial Coach after realizing though an impactful appointment with a former client (and now friend!) that I could have a dramatic effect on people by teaching and guiding them through the basics of personal finance while instilling habits and behaviors to build wealth. This important information is not taught in our schools at all.

Companies place profits ahead of people and their true needs. This is wrong! Because of this systemic imbalance, many people are left fighting an uphill financial battle. My passion is to equip clients with knowledge to self-guide financially, and to help them obtain financial freedom and gain control of their financial lives.

No situation is too complex! I’d love to have a conversation with you to see how we can work together to achieve your financial goals.

Hi, I’m Connor, and I’ve been right where you are…

I too struggled with my finances. Growing up in a family where my parents fought from the stress and pressure of debt and a failed business; shame, and fear seemed to be in my DNA at an early age.  I vowed to myself that I wasn’t going to repeat this generational pattern by getting a degree in finance and becoming a stockbroker on Wall Street. I thought for sure I was doing everything right. But soon I had racked up $60k in debt and didn’t see any way out of it. I had the financial book smarts, how could this be?!

Financial success depends on three things; knowledge, habits, and knowing the industry secrets. So for me, I had the financial knowledge, but I had to change internally. Personal finance is 80% habits and only 20% knowledge. (Can you now see why I struggled?) The third is understanding how the industry puts profit over people, and in doing so, keeps most people in the hole. This is infuriating!

After I mastered all three of these components, my life changed. I was completely debt-free within 15 months, and now hell-bent on a mission to help others so they didn’t have to struggle as I did.  For the next 20+ years, I became a Financial Advisor and I sought to align my values with what is good and right and fight against the “industry ways” that keep you struggling. Now people just like you are living their best lives because they mastered these three components with my guidance and support, and you can too.
